Yesterday was a bit on a busy day for me (AGAIN)…First I went to 1Xtra to give them my album for then to preview my album then after had to go for an interview with Sk Vibemakers. I was tired but with FX and Rainman you’ve gotta be on point cos they’ll ask questions that’ll get you stuck. This time they were cool but I had to spit for like 3 tunes and ona real I couldn’t hack it…I weren’t on point cos im busy writing for specific shows and came unprepared (had to search through my archive lol).
We all went to Sway’s launch party and on the way I gotta call from Bashy to do a live phone interview for a radio show he was presenting (more work) then reached outside Embassy and the queue was MENTAL!!! Bare people were having trouble getting in but eventually most did (after a bit of pushing in) but I feel sorry for the people that queued patiently and probably didn’t get in.
As I soon as I got in I done a MTV Base Interview (more work) then a Radio 1 interview with Max after that I kept getting free drink from all corners…I don’t even know what drinks there were all I know is that an hour later…I was goooone!!!….I was tipsy and ready to show man theta they can’t dance like me but Ghetto didn’t come so there weren’t much competition .
Sway performed a few tracks (old and new) with a little help from Chiefer lol. The mic was acting up but F your X gotta big response and him and Lemar done a serious performance of ‘Saturday night Hussle’. Sway performed the first verse and chorus for his new tune with Akon and its serious. With a video and the exposure it should get I think it’ll do well.
It was a good night and everyone had enjoyed themselves I can’t wait to hold my launch party.
Go out there and buy sway’s album (and mine of course) on Oct 6th.
